Website: sharkstartupproduct.com Effective Date: November 12, 2025

Note: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will appear here with a revised date. Please review it periodically.

1. Who we are

SharkStartupProduct is an independent website that curates and analyzes startup stories from Shark Tank India and Shark Tank USA (broadcast on TV, apps, and online). We maintain episode databases (e.g., pitches, asks, deals, and other contextual details), publish related news, and provide analysis and educational explainers on business terms.

We are not affiliated with Sony Entertainment Television, Studio NEXT, ABC, Sony Pictures Television, or any official show producers or networks.

2. Information we collect

We do not create user accounts. We collect only the information needed to operate and improve the site.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Contact/feedback: If you email us or submit a form, we process the details you provide (e.g., name, email, message).
  • Comments/submissions (if enabled): Content you submit may be stored to operate community features and to prevent abuse.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Log data: IP address (which may be truncated or anonymized), user agent, pages visited, timestamps, referrer, and error/diagnostic data for security and performance.
  • Cookies & similar tech: Essential cookies for session stability, and third-party cookies for advertising and measurement (see Section 5).

3. How we use information

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the website and APIs.
  • Improve content quality, search, and analysis features.
  • Respond to inquiries and support requests.
  • Measure performance and deliver relevant ads.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, spam, or abuse.

4. Data sources and accuracy

Episode and company data is compiled from publicly available sources, official announcements, on-air broadcasts, network apps, reputable media, and community research. We aim for accuracy but do not guarantee completeness. If you find an error, contact us and we’ll review it.

5. Advertising & affiliates

5.1 Google AdSense

We display ads via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalized/non-personalized ads based on your visits. You can manage ad preferences at adssettings.google.com. Learn more at Google’s Ads Policy.

5.2 Affiliate links

Some articles may include affiliate links. If you click and purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate partners may use cookies or tracking parameters to attribute sales. We do not control third-party data practices; see their policies for details.

6. Analytics & measurement

We may use privacy-respecting analytics or third-party measurement to understand aggregate usage and improve the site. Such tools typically collect device, usage, and event data. Where feasible, we use IP truncation/aggregation to minimize personal data.

7. Legal bases (where applicable)

  • Legitimate interests: Site security, fraud prevention, analytics, and content improvement.
  • Consent: For personalized ads/affiliate tracking where required by law.
  • Legal obligation: To comply with applicable laws or requests from authorities.

8. Data sharing

  • Service providers: Hosting, security, analytics, ad networks, and email providers working on our behalf under contracts.
  • Legal/compliance: To respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect rights.
  • Business transfers: In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, consistent with this policy.

9. Data retention

Contact/form messages are retained as needed to respond and maintain records. Logs and analytics are kept for a limited period for security and performance. Affiliate/ad data retention is governed by those partners’ policies. Where feasible, we aggregate or anonymize data.

10. Your choices

  • Cookies/Ads: Control cookies via your browser and manage Google Ads settings at adssettings.google.com.
